Richmond Auto Services is a locally owned and operated automotive repairs and service centre. Our aim is to offer our customers professional and accurate motor vehicle repairs and servicing from our highly skilled automotive and electrical team using state of the art diagnostic equipment.
Since taking over the running of Richmond Auto in 2005, owners Joe and Sally have worked hard to establish a reliable and trusted service, providing an open and transparent process so that there are no surprises with the bill.
Joel
Owner
Joel is owner of Richmond Auto Services. He was born in South Africa and immigrated to New Zealand when he was 14 years old. Between 2001 and 2004 Joel trained as an Automotive Technician, and began working at Richmond Auto soon after completing his apprenticeship.
As well as running the service team, Joel is a member of YES – a select group of auto diagnostics specialists in New Zealand. As part of his dedication to delivering highly accurate results for customers, Joel is constantly training and keeping up to date with the latest in vehicle technology.
When he isn’t at work, Joel enjoys spending time enjoying the Nelson lifestyle with his wife and four children.

You can find us at 8 Gladstone Road, Richmond, down the Lower Queen St end of town, with plenty of parking and an easy walk to the shops and cafes if you want a pleasant way to pass the time. Richmond Auto also provides a complimentary courtesy vehicle if you need one.
